My research focuses on fictional orality in French comics, where I examine how features of spoken language are used, how they are visually represented and which socioindexical values are associeted with them. Using corpus analysis, I look for recurring patterns and techniques and I also take an experimental approach to study how the orality mise en scène is perveived by readers.
