Sabine Leis, BA MA
Bio
I am a PhD research assistant and lecturer for Romance linguistics at the University of Vienna. My PhD thesis, supervised by Elissa Pustka (University of Vienna), focuses on the phenomenon of fictional orality ('oralité mise en scène'), employing a dual approach that integrates corpus analysis with perception tests. The theoretical framework guiding my research encompasses l'oralité mise en scène, eye dialect, and role and character language, alongside perspectives from cognitive sociolinguistics and the concepts of socioindexicality and sociolinguistic restoration.
